Armory Arts Week is a premier art happening attracting some of the world's most enthusiastic international and domestic collectors. With the City being home to more art collectors, galleries, first-class museums, critics and artists than any other city in the world, this weeklong celebration, including the Armory Show, has been the world's leading art fair devoted to the best art of the 20th and 21st centuries.
The Armory Show, successor to the highly acclaimed Gramercy International Art Fairs that attracted thousands to their New York, Los Angeles and Miami shows between 1994 and 1998, takes place at Pier 94 on Manhattan's west side. A new section, dedicated to dealers specializing in modern works, will debut this year at the adjacent Pier 92. Piers 92 and 94 are located on Twelfth Avenue at 55th Street in the Passenger Ship Terminal complex.
Among the highlights of Armory Arts Week, March 3-8, are Uptown & Museum Mile Day (March 3), a benefit for the Museum of Modern Art (March 4), SoHo Night (March 5), A Day in Queens (March 6), Chelsea Day Tour & Brooklyn Arts Evening (March 7) and A Day on the Lower East Side (March 8). A comprehensive guide given to hotel guests at check-in will provide further information about these events along with information about other galleries throughout the City.
The Style & Scene promotion covers entry only to the Armory Show, March 5-8, and does not include admission to the roster of Armory Week events taking place March 3-8.
